Kara Marxer

Kara has been with KMBZ since 2010 and in radio since college.  A St. Louis-area native, she fell in love with Kansas City immediately.  When she's not at work, Kara is usually out trying new restaurants, visiting the local wineries, or shoe shopping.  You can catch her weekdays during Dana and Parks, 2-5 p.m.

Marc LaVoie

Marc is a veteran of more than 20 years in the radio business. He was born in Leavenworth and moved with his family to Wichita while he was in the sixth grade. While working in radio, Marc graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in public relations.
He was morning anchor with the award-winning KFDI news team in Wichita when he gladly returned to Kansas City to be the Morning Managing Editor at KMBZ in May 2014.
Marc's wife Alice is a high school Spanish teacher and a real estate agent. Marc and Alice have three children.

Ellen Schenk

Ellen Schenk has done a little of everything in radio: music, talk show host, and a VERY brief stint as a traffic reporter (turns out that  dramamine doesn't work for everyone).
When she isn't co-hosting Kansas City's Morning News, she spends much of her time trying to persuade her husband Kevin to look at Facebook videos of puppies and making yet another plea to add to their menagerie.

EJ Becker

If you want to get a good idea of just who E.J. is - just listen to Kansas City's Morning News with E.J. & Ellen.
You'll hear about his love of travel, food, wine, Nebraska football, Billy Joel (who refuses to come on the show), flying, his gorgeous wife Stephanie (who threatened him the first time they ever met) and her cat "Joe the Terrorist."

Bill Grady

Bill Grady is a 45 year veteran of the broadcasting business. A native Southerner, Bill got his start in Texas, but is a "Midwestern convert." His work has been recognized for covering everything from breaking news to in depth feature series.
When he gets the time, Bill enjoys old movies, spending time with family and friends, and reading.

Jim Cunningham

Jim is a 20-year broadcast veteran, having covered news in Manhattan, Topeka and Kansas City as an anchor and reporter. He's also a former police officer and firefighter and a graduate of Kansas State University. His hobbies include golf and storm chasing.

Sarah Scott

Sarah Scott started out in the radio business in January of 2012, and loves reporting about interesting people, state politics, and transportation. In her free time Sarah likes to loom, read books, ride her bike all over Kansas City, and pretend that she doesn’t binge-watch bad television.
Her list of favorite things changes every day, but always includes non-fiction, puppies, avocados, and the Oxford comma.

Dan Weinbaum

Dan joined KMBZ in the summer of 2016 and does a little bit of everything - news, video, photos, digital content and social media. He first came to Kansas City to work in television news and has been honored with multiple Emmys and a Murrow during his TV News career.
Just prior to joining KMBZ, Dan was the communications and marketing director for an international aid agency.
Dan has a BA in Communications from the University of Central Florida, is a US Navy veteran, and is an Alpine Patroller with the National Ski Patrol.
Dan is always up for an adventure and loves travel. In the past few years he's been to Cuba, Liberia, Venezuela, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, and Haiti 4 times. Some of Dan’s favorite places are atop a mountain in deep powder, a beach shack with Bob Marley on repeat, and anywhere there’s a good WiFi signal.

Michael Ronnebaum

Michael Ronnebaum graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High in 2007 and the Metropolitan State University in Denver in 2015. Prior to joining KMBZ he was the news director for Krystal 93 KYSL in Summit County, Colorado.  Michael loves to ski and play music,  is an avid runner, and has an unhealthy obsession with politics.  He roots for the Jayhawks Basketball team, the Chiefs, and OU Sooners.  Michael's also a sucker for 60's doo-wop and 80's hair metal.  Full of energy, he says, "I couldn't be happier to be part of the best darn news team is the best darn city in the world!"

Jeremy Werner

Jeremy is the top notch producer for Kansas City's Morning News with E.J. & Ellen. He was born, raised, and still lives, in the Kansas City area. Like most Kansas Citians, he enjoys a cold Boulevard beer, rooting on the Chiefs and Royals, and eating BBQ.
He also manages to wake up every day and adult to the best of his abilities.

Josh Klingler

As a lifelong Chiefs and Royals fan, thanks to an Aunt and Uncle that have always resided in Independence, MO, Josh jumped at the chance to move to Kansas City in 2003 to work at KMBZ's sister station KCSP 610 Sports.
