Schools Take Major Blow with KS Budget Projections
Optimism has led to a major problem facing state schools in Kansas. The original projections for the entire state budget will drop by $235-million while half of the budget is made up by schools. Olathe Superintendent Dr. Pat All tells KMBZ the Olathe School District is between a rock and a hard place considering they are expected to grow over the next two decades while projected revenues decrease. Dr. All says they will be looking at individual projections from the state for her district in the coming days.
