UPDATE: Body Found might be that of missing Excelsior Springs woman

UPDATE: Police confirm that a body matching the description of Carol Thomas has been found in rural Ray County.

Excelsior Springs police say she was beaten and then thrown into the trunk of a car...They've found the car, the search continues for the missing female.
 
Witnesses told police they saw the woman being assaulted and then thrown into the trunk of a red car on South Myrtle St. last night.  Police say earlier this morning they found the car, a red Pontiac Grand Prix between C and D Highways in Ray County, MO near Lawson.  

Police found no one inside the car.  They continue to search for three men seen leaving the scene of the abduction.

The missing woman is described as being 5'5", 145 pounds, with brown hair, last seen wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans and a wolverine hat.
