Christmas Music: Does it Make You Feel Like Shopping?

It's one of those things you might not admit, but most of the local retailers we spoke to think having Christmas music on in the store make patrons more apt to spend a little extra money. Ron Schalinsky of the Better Cheddar in Prairie Village is one of those merchants. He tells KMBZ that shoppers hear the music, start feeling festive, and begin to pick up items from those holiday wish lists. Other merchants say they think it brightens spirits in a bad economy, and that sometimes leads to a little extra holiday shopping.
