Silver Alert System might not be enough to find Atchison couple

Authorities are still searching for an elderly Atchison couple that went missing last month despite a new system specifically designed to help find missing seniors called the "Silver Alert" system. Officials in Atchison county say it seems as if Billie Bob Black and his wife, Mary Lou...just disappeared off the face of the earth...the couple went missing on September 12th....and the difficult search prompted authorities to call for the state's first ever "Silver Alert". It's much like an Amber Alert but for those 65 and older. Similar programs have seen success in Missouri and other states...but they haven't drawn support across the board. Many lawmakers believe they may take away from the already highly successful Amber Alert system for missing children. As far as the Blacks....a relative says the chances of finding them alive...are very slim.
