Gardner leaders have voted to nix agreements for the new BNSF
Intermodal logistics park - and de-annex the land for it.
The Gardner city council last night voted 3 to 2 to rescind all
agreements related to the project.
That means negotiations with Gardner would have to start over... but
Bill Crandall of the Allen Group - the developer for the park - said
his group is starting talks with Edgerton about annexing the land for
the hub.
72-percent of Gardner Voters in 2006 had approved the annexation of
the land for the intermodal park. But, many members of the Gardner
council have changed since then.
