If you frequently travel to or from Raymore or Belton, this news
will not make you happy.
Construction of the new interchange of route 71 and 163rd street
will take an extra month. MODOT had planned to open 163rd street at
the end of June... that might be late July or early August now.
A contractor will need more materials and have to do some extra work
to make sure bridge footings are sound.
