A second fatal accident Saturday claimed the life of a 74-year-old
man. Leodis Byers was killed when he lost control of his car near
Basehor along U.S. 24 Highway at 174th street in Leavenworth County.
Byers car veered off the road and into a field before rolling over.
Byers was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.
First responders found Byers dead at the scene.
