Stories like this make me sick to my stomach and make me worry about the blessed men and women that protect us and our way of life, by serving in the Military!3 Navy Seals are facing Courts Martial, after capturing one of the world's most wanted terrorists. Why? Apparently the dirtbag got a fat lip and blamed some of the Seals.

There's another story much closer to home. On March 20, 2009 Army Ranger 1st Lt. Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prsion(Ft Leavenworth) for the pre-meditated murder, of Ali Mansur an known Al Qaeda operative in Iraq. Lt. Behenna said he was attacked by Mansur, and shot him in self defense. His story is here.

Dr David Vanderpool (LAVE MD) is on the ground in Port au Prince. David runs a charitable organization called Mobile Medical Disaster Relief http://www.mmdr.org/ with a group of doctors who rush into the worst situations in an effort to provide medical care. He has set up a make-shift hospital outside the city with 1,000 patients in a building built for 50 (photo below). Due to the extreme situations they are having to do amputations without morphine and are quickly running out of all supplies.They are in desperate need of surgical supplies and orthopedic surgeons (and funds of course). Whatever we can do to help would be greatly appreciated. I can assure you that all of the money will go directly into their efforts without administrative costs.

I wrestled with doing an interview with The Pitch, because I figured it would be a slaughter of the Conservative Talk Host. I am happy to say I was completely wrong! When do you ever hear me admit that?! LOL Alan Scherstuhl gave me a fair shot and wrote a story that I think captured me, and might even appeal to people that thought they would hate me!
Amanda Grosserode is a woman I really admire and respect. She single handidly motivated people in Johnson County to get off their duffs and protest Dennis Moore and our current Govt.'s outrageous spending, ignoring the will of the people and the Constitution. I met her in February 09 at the first protest at Dennis Moores office, and continued to work with her to create the 3rd biggest Tea Party protest in the country on April 15th at JCCC.
Amanda felt she needed to do more for her community, her state, her family and the people of Ks. District 16, so is announcing her candidacy for Ks State Representative. It's easy to support this intelligent, honest Conservative Woman for State Rep. of Ks District 16! Go Amanda!!

When I was flying to Atlanta last weekend, I had the great pleasure and good fortune, to sit next to a woman who has made it her life's mission to get Military Working Dogs adopted after their service to their Country has ended. Her name is Debbie Kandoll and her gorgeous military working dog's name is Bennie. Bennie served his country for 10 years, until spine and arthritis problems made that impossible. In adopting Bennie(no easy task), Debbie realized the Gov't Red tape makes it almost impossible to get these dogs out and adopted, and decided to fight to change that. Congressman Moore,
Perhaps you remember my visit to your office in Washington DC yesterday afternoon. Over the past few months I made phone calls to your offices, sent emails, hand delivered correspondence, sent meeting requests and attempted to communicate with you through any public venue. I never received so much as a post card from your office.
Wednesday I left my office, across the street from your Overland Park office, and flew to Washington DC to make one final attempt to contact you regarding the Health Care bill HR 3962. I was told by several of your staff that you either were not present or could not take time to meet with every constituent who happened to stop by. I indicated that I had sent a meeting request and received no response. I was so pleased to see you peak out your door, so I could finally speak with you.
When I expressed my concerns about the healthcare bill you told me that I must be getting my information from the “Teabaggers.” I told you I was a Tea Party Patriot, but I looked up information on my own. I told you I did not support HR3962 because it was a government takeover of our healthcare system, which would eliminate private insurance. You and your Legislative Assistant, Sarah Lochner, told me that was not true! I refer you to:
Page 94 - Section 202(c) prohibits the sale of private individual health insurance policies, beginning in 2013, forcing individuals to purchase coverage through the federal government.
I told you I was concerned about abortions being provided for in the bill. Again you and Sarah told me that was not true. I refer you to:
Line 17, p. 110, section 222 under “Abortions for which Public Funding is Allowed” the Health and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run plan. The Speaker’s plan also requires that at least one insurance plan offered in the Exchange covers abortions.
What is even more alarming is that a monthly abortion premium will be charged of all enrollees in the government-run plan. It’s right there on line 16, page 96, section 213, under “Insurance Rating Rules.” The premium will be paid into a U.S. Treasury account - and these federal funds will be used to pay for the abortion services.
Section 213 describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-run plan. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.
You wonder why people do not respect or trust many of the elected representatives in Washington DC? Perhaps I have provided some insight. I believe those elected representative who vote to pass this bill will be known as "The Congress who tried to kill our Constitution and our Country!" Is that really how you want your grandchhildren to remember you?

Most of you remember the creepy kids chanting Obama videos, that were recorded in schools, after the election. Lots of people claimed it was just a couple of schools and no big deal. Is it a big deal if many schools are making the kids sing about Obama? From Kindergarten to High School, and all across the educational land, Obama-bots are being trained to sing about The One!
Big Hollywood has already posted a couple disturbing videos of young school children singing/speaking praises to President Obama, but when eleven more dropped in our email box it came as quite a shock. What seemed like an aberration now appears to be a troubling pattern. Maybe “epidemic” is a better word.Each one of the videos below is creepier than the last because the further down you go, the younger the children — brace yourself for kindergartners – except for the last and most disturbing video, which you have to see to believe.

Here's the problem, when miltary loving good people in the country send out care packages, most of them have been going to Iraq. That's wonderful, BUT, apparently men and women are arriving in Afghanistan only to find even the PX doesn't have the supplies they need.

One of my listeners, Staci Wood, has a cousin that has served two tours in Iraq and now has arrived in Afghanistan for another tour. Many of you will remember the campaign to SAVE Mr Latham, a history teacher in Lawrence, who was getting let go because he was a conservative! Melissa Ward brought my attention to that story, and now interns for me twice a week. She's an awesome young woman, and very bright, and is very good at taking the bull by the horns and running with it! She wants me to run for Congress, and has let lots of people know.

If you are a regular listener, and of course you are, you know that I have very strong political opinions. I have been very involved in the Tea Party and 9/12 movements, and have attended many protests. One guy that REALLY needs to be defeated next year is Dennis Moore in Ks 3rd District!
There are some good candidates thus far, but it seems some people aren't happy with that. I just got an email today telling me there is a DRAFT DARLA page on Facebook. They want me to run for Congress in the 3rd District against Dennis Moore! I love my job here at KMBZ, but I also want to see Dennis defeated. If 2000 people sign up for that Facebook page, I will seriously consider running. If not, what's the point?
Speaking of the 3rd District of KS., one of the REAL candidates running to replace Dennis Moore is Daniel Gilyeat. He is the former Marine that gave his leg for his country in Iraq, and has decided to continue to fight for his country, by running for office! He joins me tonight at 8:30.

I got this information from a friend on Facebook. KS State Senator Julia Lind has issued a poll online asking what tax increase to support to fund roads and bridges. I went online and voted, NO TAX INCREASES! Would you consider going online and voting for no tax increases? We need to send a clear message that we don't want to see any tax increases of any kind. LOTS of people have asked me if there are any Tea Parties tomorrow 9/12, to go along with what is happening in Washington DC. The ONLY thing I know about is the party that Kim finally put together because of frustration that nothing else was happening. Here's the info:
September 12th, Saturday - Rally on The Square for Freedom. I contacted everyone I could think of to find out if there was anything planned locally for September 12th, to coincide with the National 9/12 Taxpayers March on DC. I couldn't find anything, so I'm calling for a rally all on my own. This is all very last minute, and I've never planned anything like this before, but I'm hoping to get a crowd to come out. Let's meet on The Square in Independence and assemble at or near the old Jackson County Courthouse (112 W Lexington, Independence, MO... you can see the clocktower for quite a distance, it's where there's a big bronze statue of Harry S Truman, and is in the center of Santa-Cali-Gon every year) at around 10 am. Bring your signs, flags, speeches and patriotism, maybe thousands will show up maybe only a few, but there's lots of fun things to do on the Square nonetheless. There is lots of free parking too. Location: old Jackson County Courthouse, 112 W Lexington, Independence, MO Time: 10 am

"Jefferson County Sheriff defends soldier's funeral procession" A woman wrote the Sheriff and complained because Sgt. 1st Class William "Brian" Woods,( who was killed in Afganistan in Aug,) funeral procession inconvenienced her. In 2005, a divided U.S.Supreme Court gave city governments the authority to take private homes and businesses by eminent domain and transfer ownership to private developers for the purpose of building things like shopping centers, corporate office towers and professional sports arenas, like our Sprint Center. According to the court,the community economic development benefits of such private projects qualified them as being for 'public use" under the 5th Amendment's 'takings clause". The Court's ruling sparked public outrage and was broadly criticized as a gross misinterpretation of the constitution. The new movie "Begging for Billionaires-the attack on Property Rights in America" takes on the issue of Eminent Domain. The Director Phillip Klein joins us to talk about his movie.

With this event we remember, not only those victims who were lost, but also those soldiers, police, firefighters and others who served this country both on that day and every day thereafter. My beloved father died last night, 8/12, sitting in his easy chair. We don't know what caused his death yet, as he was a healthy vibrant 78 year old man.
My Daddy was and will continue to be my Hero. He was my friend and confidant, who always made me believe anything was possible. Since I was a little girl, he told me I could be whatever I wanted to be, and that I should always reach for the stars. My love and respect for him knew no bounds. God truly blessed me when he gave me my Father.
While I am completely devastated, I am also filled with wonderful memories of the time I had with my Dad.
I am on my way to Florida, to be with my Mommy and my brother, Wes. I don't know when I'll be back, but it will be soon. Please keep us in your prayers.

Coffee with Cleaver took place Saturday morning at JP Coffee in Lee's Summit. Hundreds showed up to try to talk to Emmanuel Cleaver about healthcare. Among other provisions, the bill would create a new public plan,modeled on Medicare, to compete with private health plans in a newly established health insurance exchange. In addition to national results, Lewin produced state level impacts of the draft legislation for a select group of states:Maine, Virginia, New Mexico, Montana, Nebraska, and Pennsylvania. In its analysis, Lewin presents data estimating the impact of the bill, assuming eligibility to the exchange is open to all employers beginning in year three, on sources of coverage and potential changes in physician and hospital incomes.

I just got this video from David Vickers from RockHill Media, of the July 4th Tea Party Protest on Stateline Rd. Watch this and then tell me that people aren't informed and passionate. This is a movement, not a moment!
For more than an hour, frightened, angry, and remarkably informed citizens voiced their concerns with socialized medicine as promoted by the current administration. At least 4 of 20 or so speakers had read the entire bills–that’s a higher ratio of people who’ve read the legislation than found among members of Congress.
The message from the people was loud and clear: keep your hands off my healthcare. Speakers read passages from the bills, including provisions for the government to spy on your checking account and other spending, provisions to order end of life services if the government believes a patient is not worth saving, and more horror stories.
A nurse recounted a time she was coerced into participating in a partial-birth abortion at a St. Louis hospital. She found out what she was assisting with when a doctor handed her the decapitated head of a baby, complete with hair, eyelashes, and a pain-filled grimace. Under ObamaCare, doctors and nurses will be forced to perform late-term abortions regardless of religious or personal beliefs. ObamaCare cares nothing for morality, civility, or decency.

I wept when I watched this. This is how all fallen hero's should be honored, when they make their final journey home. Killed in action the week before, the body of Sergeant First Class John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field in Peachtree City , Georgia , just south of Atlanta , on June 11, 2009 . The Henry County Police Department escorted the procession to the funeral home in McDonough , Georgia . A simple notice in local papers indicated the road route to be taken and the approximate time.
Charges have been dropped against Henry Louis Gates Jr., who was arrested and charged for disorderly conduct in Cambridge Mass. A neighbor thought he was breaking into his own home, and called the cops, saying someone had his shoulder in the front door trying to get in. Mr Gates is a Harvard Proffesser and wasn't pleased that the police came to his home and of course called it racial profiling. You can read Mr Gates side here. We keep hearing how wonderful this Socialized Medicine is. After all, if you go to Canada, it's FREE...sort of. Just hope you don't have an actual health emergency or really need to see a Dr! I especially love the story about the woman who ended up having BOTH of her legs cut off, because it took so long to get a Dr to see her! Enjoy!

Just got done having lunch with Steve Forbes, Founder of Forbes Magazine, Former Presidential Candidate and really nice guy. It was the KMBZ Business Forum Lunch and he was the speaker. I got to sit at his table and talk policy, cap and trade, healthcare and the economy with him!! What a great guy! His new book is "Power, Ambition, Glory".
