A watermain break overnight in Merriam is going to affect traffic this morning on a major Johnson County roadway. It's at Johnson Drive and Grant in Merriam, and police tell KMBZ News this morning this likely will shut down eastbound Johnson Drive through the morning rush hour. The water department is there now sizing up the situation. The watermain break occurred sometime overnight, and police got the call around 4:30 this morning. Alternate routes would likely involve either Shawnee Mission Parkway, or 55th Street.
