A former Johnson County firefighter pleaded guilty in federal court today to using the Internet to entice a minor to engage in illegal sex. 32 year old Kyle D. Brewer of Shawnee waived his right to a grand jury and pleaded guilty before a U.S. District court jusge this afternoon . Brewer worked as a firefighter/EMT with the Johnson County Fire District #2 at the time. Brewer admitted that he contacted whom he believed was a 15-year-old girl.. In reality, the girl was Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox, operating with an online undercover alias.
