Spencer Platt/Getty Images(WASHINGTON) -- Jobless claims inched further away from the 400,000 mark last week, but not by much, the latest weekly jobs figures show.
The Labor Department reported Thursday that for the week ending June 23, the number of people filing for benefits decreased by 6,000 to 386,000. The previous week, claims stood at 392,000.
The four-week average also went down slightly, falling by 750 to end at 386,750.
