Kansas City, MO - The University of Kansas' men's basketball team defeated Missouri 93-87 at Sprint Center Sunday in an exhibition game dubbed a "Showdown for Relief" that raised about $2.5 million for hurricane victims.

Five years have passed since the Jayhawks and Tigers met on the hardwood, following Missouri's departure from the Big-12 conference for the Southeastern Conference.

Devonte' Graham led the way for the Jayhawks with 25 points.

The game awakened an appetite for a lot of basketball fans to see the KU-MU rivalry resume, but Kansas coach Bill Self was less than enthusiastic.

"We're going to do what's best for us," Self said. "We're not interested in what's best for Missouri or best for Missouri fans. But if it's best for us to play them, we will. It's not a complicated deal."

The funds will be donated jointly to five charities working on Hurricane Relief.

Kansas State and Missouri State played a similar game Saturday in Manhattan, in which all proceeds went to the Red Cross' disaster relief.
