It might be a good idea to avoid the I-70/435 interchange in
Wyandotte County the rest of this week, especially if you use the
intersection to get to the Missouri side of the metro. It'll a mix of
lane reductions scheduled to go into affect at 8:30 this morning at
the I-435/I-70 interchange. To sum it up...you'll be reduced to one
lane along eastbound I-70 between 110th and 86th streets...and only
one late getting onto eastbound I-70 from 435...and vise versa until
those lanes and ramps re-open. KDOT says lanes will be reduced much
of the day....then re-opened each day until Friday for pavement
marking work as part of a larger 4 point 6 million dollar resurfacing
project scheduled for completion sometime next summer.
