Jayme produces Kansas City's Morning News and anchors midday newscasts. She comes to Kansas City after spending 8 years at WJBC-AM in Bloomington, IL, where she won numerous Edward R. Murrow and Associated Press awards for her work.
Originally from Kankakee, IL, Jayme has degrees in speech and secondary education from Illinois State University, and still spends spare time coaching and judging for high school debate and speech tournaments. She's a trained disaster relief volunteer for the American Red Cross, and hopes to keep up the work in KC.
True to her Italian roots, she's an amateur wine enthusiast, is well-known for her version of the family spaghetti sauce, and talks with her hands constantly (she even gestures during radio newscasts).
